"Fresh Since 1985" Do you know?

The Nike Air Jordan Spizike was a special sneaker made to show appreciation to Mars Blackmon also known as Spike Lee. Spike Lee’s part in the rising of the Air Jordan was very crucial with the Mars Blackmon Air Jordan commercials.

What makes the Air Jordan Spizikes so special is the fact that they are made up of a total of six different Air Jordans, the Jordan 3 (midsole), Jordan 4 (Wings), Jordan 5 (Uppers), Jordan 6 (Tongue), Jordan 9 (Pull Tab) and last but not least the Jordan XX (Laser on the inside liner). Spike Lee's image adorns the heel of the left sneaker and his production company, 40 acres and a mule, is featured on the heel of the right sneaker (as they are on all Spizike models).

The colourway of this Nike Air Jordan Spizike FRESH SINCE 1985 is inspired by the Air Jordan 3 CEMENT, Air Jordan 3 FIRE RED and Air Jordan 3 TRUE BLUE.
Extra Spike-specific details on this model include the lining of the sneaker that features the “Do you know, do you know?” question asked in some of the Jordan commercials. Lacelocks in old-school gold 5-finger ring style caps say “MIKE” and “MARS” that further cement the bond between the two.

The Nike Air Jordan Spizike "Black/Cement"
will be available 20th of January 2010
