Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the Dutch player Eljero Elia has been finalized.
A modern and versatile winger, capable of playing on both flanks displaying the same confidence. At just 24 years of age, Elijero George Rinaldo Elia has already enjoyed a notable career, with his World Cup runners up medal in South Africa proving to be the highlight up until now. He began his youth career with Den Haag and then moved to the famed Ajax setup where he made his first competitive start at 17, before transferring to Twente in 2007. Two years later, Elia graced the Bundesliga with Hamburg.
The winger’s career took off in Germany, confirming himself as one of the most coveted attacking midfielders in Europe, making his debut for the national team and courting the attentions of a host of prestigious outfits throughout Europe. His choice was Juventus, arriving to strengthen the attacking options available to Antonio Conte.
