Ovadia & Sons 2011 Fall/Winter Lookbook
Touted to be the next big thing in men’s fashion realm, Ovadia & Sons enter Fall/Winter 2011 with the release of its sartorial-minded line. A series of images from the B-side are presented here, as it depicts an urban dandy as an integral part of its seasonal creations. Comprised of street-inspired photo snaps, Ovadia & Sons has tapped Justin Chung and Lawrence Schlossman for photography and styling. The collection sees a good cluster of well-tailored garments, particularly dapper jackets, high waist trousers and clean buttoned shirts. In addition, various casual pieces in the form of knits and pullovers blend well with the impeccable menswear range.
Marvel’s The Avengers Film Trailer
Marvel has just released the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated The Avengers film, one that combines the powers of Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Captain America. Here is the official synopsis from Marvel: “When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel’s The Avengers is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.” The Avengers officially releases in theaters May 4, 2012.
Asics x Patta GEL Saga Sneaker Teaser
Asics and Amsterdam’s Patta boutique continue their fruitful relationship with a third collaboration. Patta has been a key partner in reintroducing the GEL-Lyte III and GEL Lyte Speed styles, and this forthcoming release sees the two parties reworking the GEL Saga. The preview images show applied materials such as rubberized leather, perforated nubuck and ponyhair. The ASICS x Patta GEL Saga is set to release next month. 2012 Honda Integra Motorcycle
Honda presents the 2012 Integra, which takes its name from the fact it integrates the ease of use of a scooter with the dynamic performance of a motorcycle. It has a feet-forward riding position, protection from the elements, internal storage, and the option of an automatic transmission in the shape of the second generation of Honda’s innovative Dual Clutch Transmission; at the same time it offers stability and handling not found on a scooter. The result is a unique and desirable modern machine, conceived to deliver a totally engaging riding experience while benefiting from the environmental and safety technologies customers expect of a 21st century vehicle. At the heart of this new machine is a purpose-built engine and transmission package. From directors Carlos Carcas and Norberto López Amado comes a documentary that paints a portrait of the day’s leading architects of the world, with its main focus on British architect Norman Foster. It gives a slightly biographical point of view, starting with Foster’s days as a local architect in Manchester, to his growth and eventual global practice. It discusses the criteria for good architecture, something Foster has seemingly been able to achieve time and time again. The cinematography is handled with such care as to enhance the grandiose feeling of some of Foster’s designs, and dissects why architecture has such a lasting and profound impact on our society and our culture. According to him, “Architecture to me is something that works in terms of all the senses,” and this film definitely aims to articulate those very tactile senses Foster aims to engage with his work.

Reebok in association with singer-songwriter and producer Jesse Boykins III lets us into his world, delving into “The Romantic Process.” Watch and listen as the Chicago native speaks about his role as artist, his vision, and his musical process. Ferrari 458 Spider
The Ferrari 458 Spider, which was introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, has finally been given an official starting price of ($257,000). This controvertible is based on the 458 Italia design, and has a retractable aluminum roof that opens and closes in 14 seconds. It’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 562 hp engine and can reach top speeds of 198.8 mph with a 0-62 mph time of less than 3.4 sec. If you must have this gorgeous sports car in your possession, then get your funds ready because orders are being taken starting January 2012.

Villa Veth
Villa Veth is a modern, customized villa, a private residence for a family of four. It is situated on a large parcel of land by a forest near the idyllic town of Hattem in the eastern part of the Netherlands. The house itself and the mostly customized furnishings were designed by Liong Lie of the Rotterdam-based 123DV.
Although the structure from some angles resembles today’s favorite and by now highly overused form – long, narrow boxes situated at odd angles – the design of this villa manages to avoid that cliché by locating only one floor above ground. The result is a classic, modern residence that functions well for the family inhabiting it, yet looks like it could have existed since the 1950s. The ground floor and principal living area of the two-storey residence is divided into two. On one side are the master bedroom and two kids’ bedrooms -- all with separate bathrooms -- plus two small studios.
The other half, the south-facing side -- of the floor plan is taken up by an open-concept living area that includes the kitchen, dining and living spaces. One wall of the living area is constructed of frameless curved glass, enabling a seamless connection with the outdoors.
The total floor surface area of the residence is 475 square meters (about 5,113 square feet). 123DV is an architectural firm that specializes in modern villas and supervises the entire construction process.
